STONE COLD!!! SHOWS!!! ALBUM!!!

HEY BEAUTIFUL MEN AND WOMEN AND BOYS AND GIRLS!  Got some pretty great news I get to drop on you.

First things first, thank you SO VERY MUCH to Steve "Party" Mage from one of our favorite bands, No Regrets Coyote (download that EP so that you won't be able to get the songs out of your head, like US!!!) for filling in for serious DP shredder Emmett Miller as Emmett recovers for the rest of  the month from a recent hand surgery after battling an enraged minotaur (and #winnning).  THANKS STEVE, YOU DIDN'T BLOW IT!!!

Seconds things second, we will be heading to upstate New York next month to record our next FULL LENGTH ALBUM of BRAND NEW SONGS with producer Kevin McMahon (Titus Andronicus, Real Estate, Liquor Store, Swans, The Walkmen, etc.) at his Marcata Recording Studios.  SO PUMPED!  It will be released sometime next year by Infinity Cat Recordings!

Third things third, since we need to go all the way up to New York next month we thought......WHY NOT BOOK A TOUR AROUND IT ALSO!  Our main man (booking dude) Jon Prine (best name) over at PGA Music has hooked us up with a killer tour this December.  The dates are over on the shows page RIGHT NOW!

Last but not least, WE HAVE A SHOW THIS WEDNESDAY IN NASHVILLE!  It may or may not be our last Nashville show of the year....(one more special one still pending)....and it's definitely our first and last headlining set in Nashville for/in a while.  It's the first time we've ever played with our new friends in Blank Range, and No Regrets Coyote along with The Eeries (from Philly, PA) will be joining us as well!!!  It's at The Stone Fox!!!!  GREAT PLACE ALL THE TIME!!!  Event link below.  Don't blow it.

TUFF GUS AND PASTEY PASTE

PLANETEERS!  First of all, we have to say a HUGE thank you to Ian "Tuff Gus" Bush for taking the drumming reins from Casey while he locked himself in a bathroom for the length of the whole tour.  He's back in action though!

So let's round-up what has been going on lately...

***We went to SXSW......it was totally insane and we made a ton of new friends!  Played a bunch of shows and basically can;t wait to get back to Texas!  We'll probably be making our way back down there at the beginning of the summer, and I know I definitely heard something about a barge party, so keep an eye out for that.  ALSO, check the pictures section for all things SXSW!

***We can finally let out the news that our split 7" with Titus Andronicus will be out very soon!  A huge thanks goes to Jeremy from Battletapes in Nashville for doing a last minute session with us to record our side of the single.  Speaking of which, our side will feature the new song, "Babyhead" and the 7" will be available as the FIRST release on Titus Andronicus' label!  BIG UPS TO EM!

***At the end of last year we filmed some high quality live videos for PASTE Magazine and they just

went up this week for your viewing pleasure!  We played "Intro/Warm Ridin" "Raft Nasty" "Kids" and "Babyhead" .....you can check out the videos on our video page!  ALSO Jordan, Brent, Emmett, and Evan were featured in PASTE as part of their "Portraits of 52 Guitarists and their Guitars" segment which you can check out on our pictures page!

***Our audio page has a fresh live recording from our set at this year's Freakin Weekend in Nashville.

Definitely one of the craziest shows we've played in a while!  You can listen to it on our audio page!

TONIGHT our song "Raft Nasty" will be on the MTV show - Good Vibes!!! The show premiers right after Beavis and Butthead. So PLEASE, spread the word and check your local listings for specific channel and time information.

The Stoked/The Not So Stoked

Oh today, today, what a day it is.  With the brand new release of our bass player Mike's video game "Sulfur Sultans" and Brent's new book "RMO: The Life and Times of a True Artist", we've got a lot on our hands.

Not to mention it's our drummer's (MY) birthday RIGHT NOW! HOLY CHEEZUS CRUST!



.......But we have some news that saddens us........


We'll only be playing 4 shows on this upcoming tour.  We had to cancel the rest of our route due to some scheduling conflicts/booking issues.  BUT FEAR NOT! We'll be coming your way this spring multiple times if things work out the way we want them to.

Gremlin ROAST

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PLANETEERS!

We got a real Gremlin ROAST for ya'll this week.

We begin to announce the shows for our 4th and final tour of 2011! We start hitting the road again in February of 2012, starting off with a tour with our buddies Skimask from Boston, MA - some of the raddest/craziest dudes around. Then a tour with the one and only JEFF The Brotherhood! And as if that wasn't enough, we'll be wheeling around the nation with Mean Jeans in late spring/early summer!

Our next show in Nashville is going to be THIS SUNDAY, November 13th with MELT BANANA (holyshitholyshitholyshit) and LOOK WHAT I DID!!!
